C'est la vie

Just found this TTSS interview clip among a bunch of stuff my brother sent me a couple of months ago; I don’t think I have seen Benedict’s part before, and I always love his view to the movie: it’s far more intimate and it’s about smelling the breath the person you’re killing; it’s not actually by remote control…..

I remember that I read a report re the film and Gary’s Q&A at Cambridge Film Festival last September, Gary mentioned that after they shot the scene, he came to Tomas Alfredson and checked his performance, then he suddenly sighed: I used to be Sid Vicious.

The good old days. LoL!

Alberto Iglesias: Smiley is connecting to everything; he’s the connector. Also, I am spying Smiley at the same time.

Wanted to post Alberto Iglesias’s interview (click on the Title) with MSN re his oscar nom long time ago; kept forgetting to. Tinker’s score may be the most important element for me to love the movie.

*MSN also talked to Gary and the screenwriter for their Oscar noms respectively. Their interview videos can be found on the same MSN web page.

Vogue Italy, February 2012 (including a short article (in English) re Tinker Tailor and Gary.)

I love that Vogue.it picked two of my favorite BTS photos for the special feature of Tinker Tailor. :-)  Right click to open in new taps for 1280 version of photos

So, it seems it’s how it looks like when the DVD+BR comes out in the U.S. market.

A very short audio interview Colin did with certain website that I can’t remember. He talked about how Tinker Tailor was like a play; he found something new and different actors (eg. Gary Oldman, John Hurt or Benedict Cumberbatch) becoming a star of the film every time he watched it. In addition to Colin’s thoughts on the movie, I won’t lie that I saved this clip for an obvious reason that puts a little smile on my face. XD!

BTW, I wanted to say this the minute I saw this still months ago; can I have the whole mid-century Danish dining set together with that charismatic Colin Firth in the pic packed and delivered to my place, please?

The wide release of TTSS  in the U.S. is on Jan. 6, 2012. If anyone is interested in watching its TV spot, it’s here. The scenes they picked and the editing of the TV spot makes Peter Guillam look like a badass in the movie. LoL~

BTW, the TV spot can also be found on its website, which also contains the other new TV spot re Critic’s Pick and a featurette re Ensemble Cast. I suppose some people have checked them out; just in case some haven’t.

From this short interview video. Ben and Gary were adorable in it; Gary was even a tiny bit flirty. XD! Yeah, that’s the reaction of men when interviewing with a gorgeous lady. LoL~

A discussion on Peter Guillam and Ricki Tarr and performances of Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hardy, excerpted from Qt3 Movie Podcast re TTSS.

I excerpted the part in connection with Guillam and Tarr is because that’s the shortest of the discussion, which was quite in-depth and detailed and lasted 1 hour and 37 minutes. (WOW!) The three guys (two loved the film and one didn’t) were laid-back and sometimes made fun of the film and characters, but I found they are true movie buffs and their thoughts on the movie and performance are spot-on. There were lengthy (and highly-praised if I may say) discussion re performances of Colin Firth, Mark Strong and in particular Gary Oldman, and it’s actually good to know why people got it and loved the film while some got it but still can’t care for it. AND SERIOUS SPOILER ALERT!!!
